Using coupons can help you save a ton of money, but only if you organize them! When you’re at the billing counter of a store, the last thing you want to do is empty out your entire bag to find one coupon. Here are a few tried-and-tested ways to organize coupons.
Clipless Coupon Method
An easy yet efficient way to organize all the coupons you have is by purchasing an accordion file and placing all your coupon inserts into it, grouped by date. This is a great way to organize coupons, especially if you don’t have much time, since it does not require you to cut out your coupons until you’re at the store. Once you’ve placed all your coupons in the file, it’s a good idea to add tabs for different months of the year. Before you head out, look through your accordion file and find the coupons you need.
Small Coupon Organizer
You can find small coupon organizers for as little as $1 at many stores (make sure to check dollar stores). A small coupon organizer usually has between six and ten sections where you can place your coupons. You may also find tabs where you can add labels, which will help you find the coupons you need faster. This filing system is best for someone who has just started couponing or even those who casually coupon.
Coupon Binder Method
Once you really get into couponing, you may have too many coupons to place in a small organizer or accordion file. In this case, it is time for you to upgrade to a coupon binder. You will, ideally, need to purchase a binder with both a strap and a handle, so you can carry it with you to the stores you frequent. Also, you should make sure the binder zips shit so you can keep your coupons from falling out.
